What the Ad Says
Once a vision is caught – anything is
possible. At Wycliffe, our vision is to start a Bible
translation project in every language that needs it by 2025.
To achieve that vision seems humanly impossible, but with
God all things can be done. Today, there are a record number
of translation projects in progress and we start a new
project every five days. This will impact the lives of
millions of people around the world - good news in anyone’s
language. Catch the vision, and see God do the impossible.
The Story behind the Ad
We truly believe our God is a God of the
impossible. How could we not? The Bible we translate tells
us that (Luke 18:27). The theme of this Ad campaign is
"Catch the Vision: see the Impossible", seen in the Vision
2025 logo (top left-hand corner of the Ad).
The purpose of this Ad is to remind us
that Vision 2025 is a faith venture and is not to be
attempted in human strength. That's not to say we won't do
everything humanly possible to achieve it, but we rely on
God's strength - not ours - to get the job done. Our
personal walk with him, our prayer-life and our
heart-attitude, are therefore important. We will attempt
great things for Him, and expect great things from Him, but
we know that without faith it is impossible to please God
(Hebrews 6:18). Without a vision of what God can do, it's
impossible to get excited about Vision 2025.

for Vision 2025 read the two 'Beyond Word' articles 'Catch
the Vision: See the Impossible' and 'An
Impossible Challenge?'.
