The task of Bible
translation takes a huge and varied team of committed career
workers, trained in linguistics, translation, literacy, survey,
administration, construction, management, finances, maintenance
etc. However many volunteers also help the work of Bible
translation by assisting in the support network. In fact,
our work would be severely hampered without their valuable
contribution. Volunteers
can be assigned to our national centre (in Victoria) or
a regional office, or to one of our field programs, in
Darwin, Alice Springs or overseas. Overseas assignments
are generally for up to six months. Volunteers most commonly
needed are: office workers, IT staff, mechanics, handy-people,
and grounds-people. However, think of a role, and we probably
have a need for it somewhere.
Wycliffe Australia only processes enquiries from Australian
residents. Visit the Wycliffe International site (www.wycliffe.net)
if you are from a country other than Australia.
