What Happens Next?
What
happens next on earth happens because people pray. History
belongs to the intercessors, those who believe and pray the
future into being. Prayer changes things. A few people devoted
to prayer can do what no army, no parliament or leader can
ever do. They can win for us the grace and protection and
the friendship of God.
Jesus looked forward to prayer and
actually hungered for it. Prayer fed Jesus' soul like food
feeds our stomachs. At crisis points, when he experienced
need, when he was tired from ministry - his consistent
response was to pray.1
Our consistent response should be the
same, to talk with God about what we are doing together.
At Wycliffe, our vision is to
have a Bible translation project in progress for every
people group that needs it by the year 2025. That gives us plenty to talk about!
Would you join us in praying for the resources, wisdom
and discernment needed to fulfil God's vision in the Bible
translation ministry?
Wycliffe regularly produces prayer resources to keep you
informed and there are a number of ways you can be a part
of our prayer team.
