Wycliffe Australia's national centre
in Kangaroo Ground, Victoria, is the main administration
and training centre for Wycliffe Australia.
The
functions of the centre include providing administrative
support and care for our members, coordinating
recruiting and providing appropriate training to equip
members for their work roles.
The centre comprises offices for the administrative
functions of Wycliffe, residential accommodation for
some Wycliffe staff, the EQUIP Training School and
student and staff accommodation. The following departments operate at the national centre:
Personnel Team
- providing care for members in field assignments
- relating
to members on home leave
- providing information to enquirers
- processing
applicants and helping them find a suitable assignment
- working with new members until they are ready to
take up an assignment
Finance Team
- receipting and forwarding gifts for members
- general
finance operations
Centre Services
- computer network,
hardware and software

Wycliffe Australia.

EQUIP Training (Wycliffe's Language Institute)
- Providing training
in descriptive linguistics, literacy and associated
disciplines.
- Teaching skills for learning,
analysing, describing and teaching unwritten languages.
