Joy Atkinson, a former teacher, is delighted to be representing Wycliffe Australia in Canberra.

She has recently returned to Australia after nearly 30 years of service in Papua New Guinea. Having been involved in a translation and literacy program for a language group in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea, Joy knows and understands the need for people to have access to God's word in their own language.

She knows well that this is a team effort, that no one person can do the job alone. She is therefore looking forward to serving the church and encouraging others to be involved in the Bible translation task.
