The Journey
New Journey Program Launch!

The Journey Program has being extensively redeveloped and updated in conjunction with Missions Interlink. The new Journey Mark 2 is now available!

In 3 hours - A new way of thinking about mission!

Mission starts with God, but what does that mean?
Right through scripture God emphasises His heart is for all the nations to come to know Him and of His salvation. He said to Abraham I will make of you a great nation and through you and your seed all the nations of the world will be blessed.

If mission is God's priority, then mission should also be the priority of His church. How does the church see it’s role in mission today?

What does the 21st century really look like?
Where are we at today in reaching the world for Christ? What's the role of western Christians? Where is all the action? What does the global church look like in the 21st century?

What about the language problem?
How do we tackle the issues of language and culture to overcome barriers to the gospel?

The big three issues facing mission in 21st century
Meet people from another culture and get to see and hear the issues from their viewpoint.

Get your small group on board! Take them on The Journey!

The Journey experience will help your small group to:

  • tune in to God's heart to reach the nations.
  • understand more of the role of the church in missions.
  • learn how we in the western church can be involved in reaching the nations.
  • know how to pray more intelligently for those involved in missions.
  • recognise the importance of good training and preparation for Christian service.
  • Understand the barriers to working cross-culturally and how these can be overcome.

Your small group participants will be encouraged and equipped to:

  • pray more for those involved in missions.
  • work so that they are well prepared for however the Lord may use them
  • understand the importance of presenting the gospel in a culturally relevant context.
  • make more time and effort to encourage mission interest in their churches
  • enquire about cross-cultural ministry and how best to prepare for it
  • get to know the different cross-cultural ministry organisations.
  • find out about short and long term mission opportunities.
