SIL International
SIL International is a faith-based organisation that
studies, documents, and assists in developing the world’s
lesser-known languages. SIL’s staff shares a Christian
commitment to service, academic excellence, and professional
engagement through literacy, linguistics, translation, and
other academic disciplines. SIL makes its services available
to all without regard to religious belief, political
ideology, gender, race, or ethnic background. The
United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural organisation
(UNESCO) has granted formal consultative status to SIL
International.

JAARS
JAARS began as “Jungle Aviation and Radio Service” in Peru in 1948, operating as a department of SIL
International until it was officially incorporated in 1963.
The original two aspects of service, aviation and radio,
were soon followed by others - including IT support. The primary
purpose of JAARS is to provide high quality technical support services
to Wycliffe International and SIL International. JAARS provides equipment
(including aircraft), training, and high quality technical
services through qualified personnel in field locations
where SIL International serves around the world. Wycliffe
Australia members can serve with JAARS in the aviation
or IT fields.

The Summer Institute of Linguistics Australia (ABN 53
004 706 012), trading as EQUIP Training, is a recognised
Provider of Nationally Accredited Courses (Registered
Training Organisation number 4093). Full-time Australian
students may be eligible for AUSTUDY.
EQUIP Training Graduate Diploma courses are accredited under
the Tertiary Education Act 1993. EQUIP Training
Diploma and Certificate IV courses are recognised by the
Victorian Qualifications Authority. EQUIP is endorsed to
provide courses to overseas students on the Commonwealth
Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS)
