Vision Statement

Wycliffe Associates are Christians with a vision to see God’s Word translated into the languages of the Bibleless peoples of the world. They are people mobilised to accomplish this task through their commitment of resources and skills in support of Wycliffe Bible Translators Australia.

Ministry

Wycliffe Associates’ aim is to support Aussie Wycliffe members both in Australia and overseas by providing practical support on an ‘occasssional’ (short or long-term) basis. Whether you are young or retired, or anywhere in between doing voluntary work is a great way to serve God and engage in mission through:

  • Prayer
  • Hospitality
  • Member support
  • Projects
  • Practical help…and more.

National Coordinators

Peter & Yvonne Gillespie, from Maitland NSW, are the National Coordinators for Wycliffe Associates Australia. They come with many years of experience in Christian service as well as experience in agriculture, management, administration and education. They have a deep commitment to the gospel, Christian mission and the Bible translation task.

Over recent years Peter and Yvonne have been able to help Wycliffe with building projects and maintenance in Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Darwin. In doing so they are aware of the possibilities that exist for Christians from all walks of life to use their skills to support the work of the Gospel through the Bible translation movement and supporting projects.
