Doesn’t everyone speak English? It’s easy to forget that not everyone understands English, and out of those that do, many only have a very broken understanding.
There are 6,912 spoken languages in the world. Try this for multi-lingual:
Africa 2,092 (30.3%)
Americas 1,002 (14.5%)
Asia 2,269 (32.8%)
Europe 239 (3.5%)
Pacific 1,310 (19.0%)
That’s a lot of people that don’t understand English! Imagine if you were handed a Bible in Swahili, Zulu or a language that you’ve never even heard of, how would you find getting to know God in another tongue?
